What Is Craniosacral Therapy?
Craniosacral Therapy grew out of Osteopathy, the ancient art of bone-setting. With precise and gentle touch, the Craniosacral practitioner detects and corrects imbalances in the cerebrospinal fluid (CFS) and structures surrounding and protecting the brain and spinal cord. CFS also nourishes and maintains the delicate balance of the central nervous system and immune system. This in turn relieves tension and releases restrictions throughout the body. People of all ages, from children to seniors, can benefit from this form of therapy.
In working with infants I
have come to realize that they are wonderful receptors of
allowing the body to balance, realign, and ‘catch up to
itself’ with no resistance. These little ones have a direct
connection to the innate intelligence of their body.
Craniosacral work can gently help them recover from birth
strains and also integrate the rapid changes that are taking
place towards optimal health and brain
development. (*See testimonial page)
Craniosacral Therapy supports the health in the body by increasing physical vitality, emotional stability, and well being. This not only affects structural change but has much wider implications in healing the whole body.
Sessions for infants are 30 to 45 minutes and for adults,
approx. 90 minutes.
